Saptamana Mondiala a Spatiului in Oradea - World Space Week in Oradea, BH

On October 10th, Oradea's medieval Fortress hosted the "Meridian 0" astroclub members' presentations about the Hubble Space Telescope history, importance, and its future, as well as the latest maintenance mission. The star speaker of the event was Physics teacher Valentina Matei. Then, the little "astronauts" "mended" the paper model of the space telescope, and the audience admired the spectacular images taken by the real telescope. 3D pictures of the Solar System, of the Sun and the Space Telescope impressed the public. Then, on the 17th of October, the same location hosted a presentation on the messages adressed to potential alien civilisations by
Pioneer 10, Voyager 1 and 2 spacecrafts, and a briefing about the Kepler mission, by the same Valentina Matei.
