Coordinated by Ioana Stoica, this event dedicated to the World Space Week was organized at the “Tudor Vianu” National High School of Computer Science in Bucharest. During the workshop, students were encouraged to put themselves in the shoes of the early scientists who tried to find answers to the mysteries of the Universe. There was a short presentation of the methods used in the past for measuring the distances between different planets or stars, the speed of light or the speed of sound etc. With the help of coordinating teachers, students attempted to redo some of those measurements, in an equally thrilling and educative ambient.
